In debt? Problems with debt management? Whose fault is it?

A recent survey conducted by credit reference agency, Callcredit has discovered that three quarters of consumers believe that they are not responsible for their over-indebtedness.

The head of Callcredit, Owen Roberts, believes responsibility for the debt problems should be shared stating that, "responsible lending goes hand in hand with responsible borrowing". The survey highlighted that people from the east of the UK were more likely to recognise that their debt problems were down to themselves.

Many people fail to recognise that there are various solutions to their debt problems like debt management and debt consolidation and choose to ignore their debt problems by burying their heads in the sand.

Debtwatchdog is concerned about these latest figures. It is demonstrating that too many people are ignoring their debts and failing to take any responsibility of them. Rather than worrying about who is to blame for the mounting debts people should take more responsibility about their financial problems. This means examining closely spending habits and the reasons behind them.

Debtwtachdog is a website designed to help you on the road to financial recovery with free advice offered on a range of solutions from debt management to debt consolidation. We provide you with free access to our Statement of Affairs tool. This budget calculator is designed to show you where you are spending your money and where savings can be made.
